Your painted boots/shoes will be a work of art.
They are not meant as ordinary everyday footwear.
With proper care they will last a long time. Each leather shoe is sealed
with a waterproof varnish but don't go wading.
Treat these like any other of your "good" shoes for special occasions.
Painted canvas shoes are waterproof and can be washed.
